Loads and fixities
When I add fixities or loads they do not appear in
subsequent increment blocks. Are they still there and how can I remove
them?
This is a throwback from the CRISP 90 days. Loads and
fixities only need to be put in, in the increment that they are applied in. They
then remain in the analysis until either they are removed or the element/node
they are applied to is removed.
Fixities can be released by selecting the
edge that the fixity has been applied to, whilst in the increment in which you
want to release the fixity is displayed. Select Fixities from the Increment menu
and choose the fixity type you want to release (X, Y or Pore pressure) and then
click on Release.
Loads are removed by applying a load of the same
magnitude but opposite sign to the previously loaded edge/node whilst in the
increment you wish to remove the load.
